Located at the heart of Westminster, Central Hall has played host to innumerable debates and discourses over the last century as central London’s largest purpose built conference centre, which is capable of accommodating 2,400 guests in its impressive Great Hall.

The unique Edwardian landmark building situated adjacent to Westminster Abbey is the home of a culturally diverse Methodist Church and has engaged high profile conferences, special events and local business meetings since 1912. The architectural features of the building include the iconic dome, spacious entrance foyers and hallways, marble flooring and a sweeping grand staircase, the design of which is based on the Paris Opera House.

History meets high tech

Given its rich history and heritage, you might be forgiven for thinking of Central Hall as more traditional in terms of its facilities as a conference venue. However, major investment in technology and facilities over the last few years has truly transformed the conference and events offering at the venue. Central Hall can offer multi-room device connectivity and state-of-the-art equipment from some of the world’s largest AV manufacturers, to enhance events at the iconic venue.

The stunning features of our Viennese Baroque styled building cannot be overlooked, from the sweeping grand staircase based on the Paris Opera House to the architecturally impressive domed ceiling in the Great Hall, Europe’s largest self-supporting concrete dome, Central Hall offers a feast for the senses for those with a penchant for beautiful buildings. For the music lover, Central Hall has many great stories to tell, having hosted countless concerts including the BBC’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration and even having hosted Andrew Lloyd Webber’s first performance of a musical, before he was famous (his father was the organist at Central Hall!)

Central Hall Westminster offers 22 event spaces, including:

  • The Great Hall – Seats up to 2,200 delegates and features Europe’s largest self-supporting domed ceiling, creating a uniquely intimate atmosphere in the circular shaped, tiered balcony hall with natural daylight.
  • Library and Lecture Hall – The bright and spacious halls provide flexible space flooded with natural light for up to 1,100 delegates.
  • Six rooms up to 150 delegates – All rooms offer flexible configurations combined with natural light/ blackout facilities. By using adjacent rooms and spacious foyers, unique event spaces can be created, allowing for breakout sessions, catering and registration.
  • 13 rooms for up to 60 delegates – With beautiful original features, Central Hall Westminster’s smaller rooms provide an elegant setting for meetings from 20 to 60 guests.
